Work Experience
Coordinator of Video Services, University of Mississippi Football March 2018 – Present
- Lead SEC West Video Department as directed by head football coach. Raised standards to be competitive with therest of the Conference.
- Introduced and implemented Pro Football Focus software enabling coaches and staff to utilize analytics for gamepreparation. Attached this data with a library of video which included all FBS and NFL game video.
- Upgraded camera technology and taught the student staff on use, care while allowing them to shoot high quality videofor exchange and coaches review.
- Maximized department budget to provide best technology possible. Responsible for an IT network of over 50 clientsand 110TB of storage.
- Coordinating Producer for “The Season,” a weekly show showcasing the inside of the Ole Miss Football Program.
Director of Video, University of Arkansas Football February 2013 – December 2017
- Direct Video Operations of SEC West Football program. Report directly to head coach while working with assistant coaches and support staff in weekly game preparations and off-season development.
- Hire and manage staff of 8 employees including full-time assistant, intern, graduate assistant and undergraduate students. Develop schedules for all staff, instruction on cameras and various software programs. Lead staff working on motivational, recruiting, promotional, training and social media videos. Develop ideas in connection with recruiting and strength and conditioning staff.
- Responsible for IT network of over 50 clients, 110 TB and a cloud based solution for coaches and student-athletes to prepare and improve.
- Directly responsible for video department budget, equipment purchases and integration of software packages, and repair of all equipment. Annual meetings with department CFO to strategize for upcoming budget cycles.
- Utilize software packages including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, XOS Thunder, Avid Media Composer, Stats Inc, Pro Football Focus, SnapStream, DragonFly Storm, and STRIVR VR.
- Work with University’s SEC Network staff to develop and create content for weekly coaches show. Segment producer for coaches breakdown segment captured after game’s completion. Pull plays from each half for the head coach to review as part of an hour show.
- Plan video bowl preparations and design A/V integration of office and work space for the Razorback football team while away for post-season competition.
- Travel with the head coach to football clinics and Razorback functions to ensure video presentations are set up properly. Capture video at various events to use for promotion as well as in “Being Bret Bielema” ESPNU production.
Video Coordinator, University of Iowa Football August 1993 – February 2103
- Lead Video Operations for nationally ranked football program. Work with coaching staff in game week preparation. Edit, capture and trade game video with BCS programs. Prepare teaching videos for use in opponent and self- scouting. Coordinate post-game breakdown for coaches as well as hotel setup for team meetings. Help create reports on various game-analysis programs for coaches to better understand team’s tendencies.
- Manage IT network of up to 50 clients and maintain up to 90TB of on-line storage consisting of five servers. Also maintain recruiting and scouting system of five servers.
- Hire and manage student staff of up to six. Instruct them on use of cameras, editing systems and general video operational knowledge. Organize work schedule and yearly travel schedule. Supervise staff at practice and ensure their safety.
- Member of bowl planning staff consisting of administration and football personnel. Work with bowl staff in planning team’s arrival at stadium, practice site and hotel. Set up video network within the hotel for up to 15 coaches and a video suite. Handle all video operations for bowl game – video exchange, transporting of network to bowl site and game/practice set up.
- Work with the Big Ten Conference in providing video for game officials for review. Work with conference administration in writing rules for video origination and exchange. Determine video policy and implementation with conference staff.
- Assist coaches during football recruiting visits by providing videos and tours of the facilities.
- Liason for network television talent and coaching staff. Work closely with ESPN and BTN to provide video necessary for game preparation.
- Create highlight and motivational videos for team to view prior to game. Highlight videos are also created following season for use at recruiting functions, banquets, and fund-raising circuit.Other Duties
- Traveled on I-Club fund raising circuit throughout Iowa
- Organized meeting of Big Ten Video Coordinators to coincide with meetings of the NFL Video Coordinators and the NFL Combine for last 8 years. Present to NFL on technology’s impact on college football video.
- Assist Iowa athletic teams with technology, video and other resources in video operations. Travelled with women’s basketball and wrestling teams to conference and national competitions. Shot footage to be used in post-season highlight videos.
- Record conference games to be used for scouting purposes by Iowa Baseball team.
- Prepared highlight videos for men’s basketball team.
